Small cameras in the hands of an amateur documentarian cannot quite capture the magical snow that fell all this Monday, February 7, 2011. One friend posted on Facebook: "The snow flakes are coming down holding hands." Remarkable, beautiful day, capped -- or crusted?? -- with a fine Cornbread Supper.
We lucky people now have access to Elmwood Stock Farm's brand new product, organic white cornmeal that they mill themselves, to just the right consistency. That's one result, above, also made with Elmwood's amazing organic, pastured eggs, and local buttermilk.
Other tasty foods on this snowy night:
- Organic chicken sausage and chicken broth onion, celery, sweet potatoes
- Super Super Bowl Dip
- Soup! Lentils, Kidneys, etc. No salt.
- Chili w/beef
- Fresh Cavatelli w/Olive Oil & Parm; Lexington Pasta
- Couscous w/chili mango, cherries, cashews & feta
- Ground Beef, Broccoli, Cheese, Hash Brown Casserole
- Tofu-Mandarin-Sesame Salad
- Weisenberger White Unbolted Cornmeal, Elmwood Eggs: Kentucky Black Skillet Cornbread, Gluten Free
- Unbaked (chocolate oatmeal) cookies
- Chocolate Chip Walnut Oatmeal Whole Wheat Cookies
